Size & fit
Reading a uniform size
Uniform sizing is not the same as regular clothing sizes, and it is not consistent between garments either. Here is how to read what you see on the size buttons.
The four labelling systems you will see
Numeric, letter in brackets
The number is the size on the tag. The letter in brackets is the nearest regular clothing size. The exact run varies a little between garments.
On 12 pieces in our catalog.
Letter, numeric in brackets

Youth and adult
Used where a school outfits older students and staff from the same piece. Youth sizes run first, adult sizes after. The exact run varies a little between garments.

Letter
Straight letter sizing, the same as most casual clothing.

Numeric to letter

Choosing
Uniforms are worn four or five days a week and washed hard. If your child is between sizes, most families size up.
Measure against something that already fits rather than against your child. Lay a shirt they wear now flat and compare it to the size you are about to order.
Every piece is made after you order it, so it is worth two minutes here.
Still unsure? Ask us before you order and we will talk it through.
